⚡ Are You Ready To Connect?
When we connect deeply with ourselves, we create an amazing electricity with others.
I'm having an incredible time in Ecuador! The ocean waves have this amazing effect at bringing the body to such a relaxed state. Combining the sand, waves, and delicious food with my yoga practice and meditation have proved an unforgettable experience in this lifetime. But even here in this paradise, my internal and external energy must be balanced and cared for. New and old friendships require compassion, thoughtfulness, and care. My self-view and relationship with others is crucial in providing deep insight into this self-love and care. Have you ever quickly judged yourself or another? Sometimes it happens so fast, it can totally surprise us how automatically the thought surfaced. Before we even realise it, an emotional response has been produced and we feel over come with the resonating energy of whatever our trigger was. Lower vibrations, if unnoticed or projected onto Others, can move into our body-mind and create feelings of disconnect, anger, hatred, fear, and hopelessness (along with other variations of feelings that weigh us down). We've all experienced these moments of constriction and heaviness. When we judge others, ourselves or our "progress" in life this can unconsciously create a strong tendency to Divide & Conquer. When we Divide from others we try and separate our view of self from the view of others we deem Wrong. Yet this is an impossible task. The more you try and divide the more your own self can divide from your essential nature, which is Bliss, Connection, and Love. If we begin to allow ourselves the space to grow without a timetable, without requirements for perfection, a lightheartedness can settle into our perspectives of others, and we realize...
We Are All Connected Through Love...
This connection allows our goals and dreams to be met with patience and encouragement.
The more we see that my sadness is your sadness, my joy is your joy, my goals are your goals, the less we worry so much about the Labels that Divide Us and recognize our Divine Birthright for Bliss and Eternal Abiding. We see the millions of perspectives available in every moment, and allow the spaciousness of Compassion and Understanding to unfold. Let's ride these groovy waves together and always remember the higher vibrations that bring us the peace we desire. 😊 I've got some of the higher vibrations listed below. Take a few moments to contemplate each one and send these vibrations to all Beings in your life, friends, family, acquaintances, those you have problems with, and all those beings who you have yet to come in contact with (observe any difficulty you might have with Associates, Problem People or those you Don't Know, including anyone you haven't met yet that you have an idea of, from other cities, states, countries, cultures, and religions). This tension or difficulty may point to a break through waiting to happen in your life!
Compassion Understanding Forgiveness Peace Patience Discipline Wisdom Generosity Diligence Courage Joy Meditation Serenity Love It is my hope that you bring these qualities towards everyone in your life, your goals, current desires, and dreams. May all beings everywhere be happy, healthy, safe, secure, and at peace. ☺️ 🙏
Pranayama & 10 Minute "So Hum" Meditation Pranayama (breath control/expansion) and "so hum" meditation are wonderful tools that can bring you directly into the present moment. It requires no experience with meditation nor any belief system. All that is required is simply bringing awareness to your breath, the non-judgmental noticing of your thoughts-emotions-sensations as they come and go, and innocently welcoming the mantra "so hum". This mantra translates to "I Am That" and connects us with ourselves, others, and all of reality around us. It connects us to the Universal Energy, the Web of Power, the Tree of Life, or whatever speaks to you in your heart and connects you to something deeper. The meaning however, is not needed in your meditation, what's most important is the gentle sound itself. Mantras are powerful tools or vehicles for taking our mind from one state towards a calmer state of mental and physical clarity. Every meditation session is different, so don't worry about trying to "do it right". Simply making the effort is all that is needed. This is why yoga is called a Practice. Ok let's get started.
Sit comfortably and close the eyes. Use a cushion or bolster to sit on if your lower back feels tight. Feel your spine erect yet relax the muscles in your body and face. Begin by expanding your breath to a 4-count inhale with a small 1-count pause at top followed by a 4-count exhale with a slight 1-count pause at the bottom. Do this for 2 minutes or what feels like 2 minutes (around 15-20 breaths), then allow your breath to flow naturally. Release trying to control your breath. Feel your breath rise and fall. As you breath in gently think the syllable “So” and as you breathe out think the syllable “Hum”. Allow the mantra to be a gentle and quiet voice in the mind. It may even fade from time to time and that's perfectly ok. As thoughts come and go, invite the mantra back. You’ll notice that the breath sounds like “so” on the inhale and “hum” on the exhale. Do this for 5 minutes then, keeping the eyes closed, release the practice, but sit for another minute or two before you come out slowly and gently open the eyes. Use a meditation timer app on your phone or simply open an eye to monitor a clock/watch. Stick to the recommended time and enjoy!
Journal any thoughts and experiences you might have. Challenge and motivate yourself to practice this meditation twice daily, before breakfast, and before dinner. Feel free to email me should you have any questions or just want to chat.
Peace, Kyle
